1. Definitions
For the purposes of this Terms of Service:
- "Service", "Portal", "System", "Website", "Bot" refers to the SLC Portal, the associated Discord Bot, and all related services provided by Salt Lake City Roleplay.
- "SLC Administrators", "System Administrators", "Developers", "We", "Us", "Our" refers to the administrative and development team of the related systems, not our community admins.
- "User", "You" refers to the individual accessing or using the Service.
- "Ticket" refers to a support channel or thread created within the Service for communication between Users and Staff.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Portal at slcrp.xyz (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
The Portal is a web-based platform designed for members to access various features and services, including but not limited to:
- Viewing personal punishment records and moderation history
- Verifying and linking Discord and Roblox accounts
- Managing account information and preferences
- Accessing staff-specific features (for authorized staff only)
- Shift management and tracking (for authorized staff)
- Leave of absence requests (for authorized staff)
- Shift management and tracking (for authorized staff)
- Leave of absence requests (for authorized staff)
- Activity logging and administrative reporting (for authorized staff)
- Ticket System: Creating, managing, and interacting with support tickets.
2.1 Ticket Usage & Transcripts
By using the Ticket System, you acknowledge and agree that:
- All interactions within tickets (messages, attachments, embeds) are recorded and stored.
- Transcripts of these tickets are generated and stored permanently (or until manually deleted by an Administrator) for administrative, audit, and historical purposes.
- These transcripts may be accessible to authorized Staff members and Administrators for review.
- You consent to the meaningful storage of this data as part of our administrative records.
3. Eligibility and Access
Access to the Portal is available to members of the Salt Lake City Roleplay Discord server. To use this Service, you must:
- Be a member of the required Discord server
- Authenticate using Discord OAuth2
- Verify your Roblox account when accessing features that require Roblox verification
Certain features of the Service may require additional roles and permissions as determined by administrators. Access to staff-specific features is restricted to authorized personnel only.
We reserve the right to deny access to any user at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason or no reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms of Service.
4. User Accounts and Authentication
4.1 Discord Authentication
You must authenticate using Discord OAuth2 to access the Service. By authenticating, you grant us permission to access certain information from your Discord account, including your user ID, username, discriminator, and avatar.
4.2 Roblox Verification
Certain features of the Service may require you to verify your Roblox account through Roblox OAuth2. By verifying your account, you grant us permission to access and store certain information from your Roblox account, including your Roblox user ID, username, account age, and avatar URL.
4.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Engage in any fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scripts, etc.) to access the Service without explicit permission
- Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent
- Transmit any viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, or other items of a destructive nature
6. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Sharing your account credentials with others
- Using the Service for purposes other than authorized duties
- Manipulating or falsifying data within the Service
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or gain unauthorized access
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our Service without our prior written consent.
8. Privacy and Data Collection
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy, including:
- Discord account information (user ID, username, discriminator, avatar, and server lists/guilds)
- Roblox account information (user ID, username, account age, avatar URL)
- Form and Application Data: Information submitted via forms, including staff applications
- Discord Server Sync: Periodic background updates of your joined Discord servers via OAuth refresh tokens
- Activity logs and usage data
- Session information
- Third-party services, such as Cloudflare, may also collect your IP address.
By submitting any form on the Service, you provide explicit consent for the permanent storage of your submission for administrative, audit, and historical record-keeping purposes.
9. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service or any part thereof with or without notice. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or contact us to request account deletion.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We make no warranty that:
- The Service will meet your requirements
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
- The quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you through the Service will meet your expectations
12. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, actions, or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms of Service.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.
15. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Service.

By using the Portal/Website or any other relevant service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
